IPL Start Date 2022
IPL 2022 has been scheduled between 2 April 2022 and 3 June 2022. IPL 2022 First Match to be played on 2 April 2022 in M. A. Chidambaram Stadium Chennai.
Every year IPL Matches are played in the month of April or May. It is expected that this year IPL 2022 will start from the first week of April. Due to Covid-19, the Indian Premier League was played in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in 2020 and 2021. But IPL 2022 is to be played in India at various stadiums.
There is a total of 74 T20 matches to be played in IPL 2022 as we know that there are 10 teams in IPL 2022.
IPL 2022 will be the 15th Season of IPL.

IPL 2022 Salary Cap
BCCI also explained the salary cap for the retained players based on the team’s decision of the number of players retention.
If a team retains 4 players, Rs 42 crore will be cut from the player purse.
If a team retains 3 players, Rs 33 crore will be cut from the player purse.
If a team retains 2 players, Rs 24 crore will be cut from the player purse.
If a team retains only one player, it will lose Rs 14 crore from its purse value.
Each uncapped player retained will cost Rs 4 crore each.
If a team retains 4 of its player then the salary cap of the four players will be as follows:
